Films have been commercialized and it’s much more than you would ever believe. Like the very famous film series James Bond. New films are always being added to the series each year. Each film contains lots of advertisement. James Bond never uses a product that doesn’t have an etiquette his car is alfa romeo his cellphone is Sony Ericsson his glasses RayBan. The whole film is a long commercial. or another Disney film called “blank check” that was my favorite film when I was kid and that is the same film that I learned the Macintosh from. In the film the kid uses the Macintosh computer which can do everything and even he calls himself Macintosh. Think about it through out the whole film Macintosh is repeated a million times and the viewers of this film is small children.

The films stated to tell the audience that they should by this and that and they shouldn’t by that. Just by directing them the films are contradicting the peoples freedom of choice. While a person thinks that he is doing, buying a thing by his own will actually his subconscious mind tells him what to buy and what not, and his subconscious mind is directly under control of these media sources. Now a days the hit films are always the comercial films then how on earth can we say that people have their own free will while these films are nearly watched by 1/6 of the world. If 1/6 of the world doesn’t have free will who has it. Maybe the people living in poor parts of Africa who doesn’t have a TV in their homes is not effected this mesecar of free will maybe we should go and live there because we are being standardized while doing our daily jobs.

I have been involved with the media since I have known my self. When I was just a kid I used to consume lots of cartoons. I nearly new all the episodes of Nickelodeon’s cartoons. I really liked the channel because it had nearly no commercials which I found really boring those days. but as I grew my media expectations changed. I started to like movies and news and my hate against the commercials increased. Now a days I watch minimum amount of TV because of the commercials. İnstead I prefer consuming my media from the internet but the truth is I couldn’t get away from the commercials because every site has an advertisement in it or every film promotes a product. The only better thing about internet advertisements is that it doesn’t consume my time by airing for 10-20 minutes like advertisements. Another reason that I consume my media from the internet is that when media is consumed over the internet I can filter the media that I want to receive. So the media over internet enables me to consume what ever I want.

Probably rhe most media source that is effecting is the hidden messeges on films. Because I consume lots of films. I watch 1 or 2 films each day (unless there is final exam ) and each film contains little small amount of adcertisment. I could detect most of them but there sure is some that I couldn’t which would effect me indrictly and I hate being influenced badly while doing one of my favorite hoby.

The film C.R.A.Z.Y. is a french film who tells about a boy who choose homosexuality and tells most of his life before and after he choose this path.

The main issue in the film is that the main character is the favorite son but when he chooses homosexuality the father reacts really harshly and the total plot of the film is based on this. Telling how he tries to regain the trust of his father.

The film in the film is a crowded one. The family has 5 sons so there is a lots of competition going on in the family. The kids try to be the favorite so they bully each other and the father expect the kids to become successful and still loving for the family. The father is though conservative and every action that doesn’t fit his norms becomes a huge problems.

To solve his problems with his father and return to the times where they were really close he runs away hoping that everything would be forgotten but running away never solves anything so he returns to face the problems. So that he will return to the old days with his father

So the main issue in the text is our parents expectations and their view about us. Do parents have right to give up on us because of our actions preferences or should the family/parents be protectors of us and look after us. or should we run away from our problems and wait the time to solve the problems. I believe direct approach to the family is a must. We should confront our families if there is a problem. This film tells us the same thing too that we must confront our parents and our problems because our family is there to protect us.
